This course will run August 6 & 7, 2012.
This two-day course teaches practical project management techniques to students in order to prepare them to participate in the process of developing and updating plans for their project.
The presentation is purposely structured to include substantial opportunities for students to participate in discussions with the instructor about adapting the general techniques taught in the program to the unique characteristics of their projects.
The course consists of 16 hours of instruction including lecture and hands-on experiences taught over a two-day period. The course includes exercises on the following topics:
- Recognizing Typical Project Challenges
- Developing Network Diagrams
- Performing Schedule Calculations
- Compressing Project Plans to Meet Deadline Dates
- Updating the Project Plan to Reflect Actual Progress
